We justified our investment simply on the elimination of paper based timesheets and the associated cost of data entry. While we do not manage all activity in the Engineering Department through b-smart it has given us a handle on the 20% of projects and their associated resources that were consuming 80% of available man hours. For the first time I can regularly report to senior management on what our resource availability is and our capacity to take on new projects.

Hella selected b-smart to support the implementation of our PMH Project Management methodology and our Product Development Process. Changes in the Australian automotive industry meant we had to better leverage our Design Engineering capabilities for competitive advantage. To do this we had to improve our project management skills specifically in the area of cost control and change management as well as streamlining our product development process. b-smart supports both of these initiatives by giving Hella the visibility of resources and projects that is needed to manage effectively.

Linfox has implemented a limited set of b-smart functionality and are "making haste slowly" to ensure high levels of user acceptance and compliance. b-smart is used in parts of our Australian operations and we are already registering strong demand from other areas and geographies. We plan to roll b-smart out progressively across all of Linfox's Asia Pacific operations.

I Love it - it gives me a centralized, automated, highly visible reporting capability for the whole business and each level of the organization. What took me two days to do using a series of spreadsheets I can now do in a morning.
