Project Manager [Selected Project] > Project > Summary |
The project summary page displays detailed statistical lists of Tasks, Milestones, IRC Items and over-allocated Resources. Additionally, summarised budget information, current Project Log status (if enabled) and notifications about external modifications of your project are displayed.
Follow These Steps to Open the Project Summary Page
From the Selected Project, click on the Project option on the menu
Click on the Summary option on the drop down menu
The Project Summary Page will be displayed.

The Milestone Summary List

Displays the details of the current project log. If the log has not been entered, a hyperlink is displayed which, when selected opens the current project log ready for entry of data.

The over allocated resource Summary displays the number of over allocated resources that are assigned to the project. The allocation values are derived from total allocation over all projects. Project managers can use this list to quickly locate resources that are assigned to their project who have a likely hood of not being able to perform the work assigned to the project due to other commitments.
Click on any of the values denoted with a hyperlink to open a filtered list of the resources that are over allocated within the selected period.

The section displays any impacted tasks due to predecessor dependencies from other projects. For instance, a task that has a predecessor link to a task from another project which is now running 1 month late will impact the current project. bSmart doesn’t automatically change your project plan until you have viewed these dependencies and reviewed the impacts. If you are happy for the changes to take place you simply press the project recalculation icon to update the plan based on these changes.

Any changes that are made to the Resources assigned to Tasks on the Project in the Resource Centre are listed in the Resource Change Journal on the Project Summary page. This journal is designed to keep the project manager informed of any changes made to their project Resources by the Resource Manager.
The Resource Change Journal is only displayed on the Project Summary page when the list has unread entries. The project manager can clear entries on the list by selecting one or more entries and clicking the “Mark as Read” icon.
Copies of all entries in the Resource Change Journal are kept in the Project Journal. These entries are not cleared when the Project Manager marks entries as being read.
